How did Treasure Street get started?
Treasure Street was started in 1996 by a TSRHC patient family and their friends. With an initial goal of establishing a special event for the benefit of children with the tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC), together they raised $150,000 that first year. In 1998, a Treasure Street board of directors was founded, and they set a goal of making the hospital’s TSC Clinic a “model” clinic for others around the world. In 2007, the Treasure Street board voted to utilize funds raised for the benefit of all patients treated at TSRHC and make it the annual signature event of the hospital.
